About Eaton Corp.

Eaton Corporation is a multinational power management company with 73,000 employees worldwide and customers in over 150 countries. Eaton is a provider of electrical components and systems for power quality, distribution and control, hydraulics components, aerospace fuel and truck and automotive drivetrain and powertrain systems. The corporation is organized into five businesses; Aerospace, Automotive, Electrical, Hydraulics and Truck. Eaton Corporation was founded by Joseph O. Eaton, Henning O. Taube and Viggo V. Torbensen in 1911 as Torbensen Gear and Axle Co. in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The company manufactured an internal-gear truck axle that was patented by Viggo Torbensen. The company moved to Ohio in 1914 to be closer t the automotive industry, which became its core business focus. Throughout the years there were a variety of mergers and acquisitions to make Eaton a leading global power management company. In 2008, Eaton Corporation received the CALSTART Blue Sky Award to recognize their environmentally green transportation investments, products and actions. This was due mainly to the company?s efforts in hybrid-drive technology for trucks.
